DAY 1: Arrive in Tbilisi

Arrive at Tbilisi International Airport, transfer to hotel.

Overnight in Tbilisi.

 

Day 2: Tbilisi – MANGLISI –TABATSKURI – Bakuryani

Tbilisi is a multicultural city in Eurasia, built in the 4th century AD. First we visit the Old Town of Tbilisi. After the visit, drive to the town – Manglisi (in the 4th century). According to legend, the nails used to crucify Jesus Christ are preserved in the town. Nowadays Manglisi is the  popular resort due to its favorable geographical and climatic conditions. We will also visit a reservoir – 3.7 km in length. In warm weather, you can swim in the river, camp, and enjoy picnics and BBQ. After enjoying a picnic, head to Tabatskuri Crater Lake. Crossing the Tskratskaro pass (2454 m above sea level) we go to Bakuriani - Georgian Ski resort.

Day 3: Bakuriani – Khertvisi – Vardzia – Akhaltsikhe

Start your trip to Bakuriani today with a drive to Vardzia. On the way we will meet perfect landscapes, outstanding forts and towers. Among them the Khertvisi fortress gives us the feeling of feudal times. Vardzia is a group of caves excavated in the 12th and 13th centuries. Finally drive to Akhaltsikhe - visit the historical castle complex built in the 12th century - Rabat.

Day 4: Akhartskhe - Goderdzi pass - Khulo - Batumi

After breakfast, drive across the Goderdzi pass to the mountains of Adjara region. On the way, you can see the bridge built in the medieval Dandalo and Queen Tamar. Afterwards continue Keda tour and arrive at Batumi - the most perfect city in Georgia, located on the east coast of the Black Sea. Walk along the famous Batumi Boulevard and enjoy steel sculptures symbolizing love – Ali and Nino, and many other monuments.

Day 5: Batumi – Zugdidi – Mesidia

After breakfast, drive to the most magnificent scenic spot on the Black Sea coast - Batumi Botanical Garden (220 meters above sea level). In the botanical garden, you can see 5000 kinds of plants from all over the world. The total area is 111 hectares. Then drive to Mesidia, on the way, visit the Zugdidi Museum, where is preserved robe of Mother of God Mary and the mask of Napoleon Bonaparte. The journey continues with stops at point views of Enguri River and Enguri Dam – the second tallest dam of its kind.

DAY 6: Messitia - Ushguli

After breakfast, take SUV to reach to Ushguli (World UNESCO Heritage Site). Visit St. George`s Church (7th-12th century in the park), then visit St. George`s Church in Nakipari (AD 1130) and visit the Ethnographic Museum in Ushguli.

Ushguli is the highest ancient village in Europe (more than 2,200 meters above sea level).

Stay in Ushguli.

 

Day 7: Ushguli – Lentekhi – Tsageri – Kutaisi City Tour

After breakfast, proceed to Kutaisi. On the way, follow the Tskhenistskali River to the villages of Lentekhi and Tsageri. Finally arrive in Georgia`s second largest city - Kutaisi. Will visit UNESCO Heritage Site - Bagrata and Gelati Cathedral.

Overnight in Kutaisi.

 

Day 8: Kutaisi – Gori – Uplistskhe – Ananuri – Kazbegi

After breakfast, drive to the hometown of Stalin, General Secretary of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union, and visit the former residence of Stalin. Afterwards, drive to the cave town of Bronze Age - Uplistskhe. Then visit the feudal-era Ananuri Castle, Jinvali Reservoir and Gudauri Ski Resort before arriving in Kazbegi.

Overnight in Kazbegi.

 

Day 9: Kazbegi - TBILISI

After breakfast, drive to the church of Gergeti Holy Trinity (2170 meters above sea level). When going to the church, if the weather is clear, you can see the Kazbegi Glacier (5047 meters), the second highest glacier in Georgia. Afterwards proceed to UNESCO Heritage Site – Mtskheta, the ancient capital of Georgia. Visit Cross Monastery (built in the 6th century) and Svetitskhoveli cathedral built in the 11th century. Arrive in Tbilisi.

Overnight in Tbilisi.

DAY 10: departure
Enjoy breakfast, depart from the hotel, go to Tbilisi International Airport
